did mesmerizer ruin 32ki's music?

ever since mesmerizer blew up i can't help but notice that a lot of the new vocaloid songs coming out follow a similar formula. seems like many producers lately are coming out with a miku and teto song that has an easily tiktokable chorus. (candycookiechocolate for example) yukarietto

this doesn't apply to just 32ki but his recent songs are very obviously trying to ride the coattails of mesmerizer. what are your thoughts on this? i included my favorite song from 32ki pre-mesmerizer

not to say there aren't some pretty great songs coming out recently of course

By learning japanese, literally. Western vocaloid fans should know that this is the only option available if you want to popularize a forgotten 'loid and yes that includes non-JP 'loids too.

Japanese fans don't listen to English songs and English fans are not too different in that regard. The only exception is SAWTOWNE, somehow, but do you think SAWTOWNE will ever make a song with an obscure 'loid like our beloved memegirl Sonika? Forget about it. Be the change you want to see /leek/.

Impossible in 2025. PFX quit Vocaloid plus they're developing their own engine under Vocatone and Zero-G quit the vocalsynth scene after Yamaha fucked them over while they were making Sonika V4. (That last one hurts the most imo, not even because of Sonika but because it felt like Zero-G was the one company that cares the most about the WVF).

The thumbnail featured a girl with purple hair making a disgusted face. Pic related is what i remember it looking like.
