The western Vocaloid fandom really expected Hiiragi to lose everything after that Kaai Yuki song. Instead he gets hired by McDonald's to write a McD's themed version of Tetoris and not only does it reach #1 on the Vocaloid charts but so does the original version in 2nd place. Truly beautiful.

I want to work on music but I've hit a block. I can either make an instrumental in 2-3 days or not at all. When I feel comfortable I'll probably post the thing I'm struggling with. It goes on way too long and I can't figure out what to do vocally. The song is intended for a male character I based on Miki 7 years ago, but Hayden and Kevin are both fitting voice-wise and I'm leaning towards Hayden. I feel a bit bad because I also have a lot of rarely-used VBs including Miki V2, but this probably not going to fit any of them and I'm tired of my originals capping at 500 views as much as I'm scared of what popularity may bring.

in my opinion, it all depends on how the situation with zan-shin goes. by itself, they are a small company with a small budget, considering that their last VBs were voiced by employees (and in ROSA's case, she was chosen through a contest). whiteCUL's provider is the CBO, while REV uses the CEO (if I'm not mistaken) as a voice provider. now, CUL has eri kitamura, a renowned seiyuu, as a voice, and they probably don't have the budget to work with kitamura again, let alone now with the financial situation they have.
if CUL doesn't come back for a while, it would be because of budget issues, what they did to shirayuki was to revoke the rights of the IPs related to CUL.

so, in short, it all depends on whether the company turns into something worse or not. if they manage to get out of it, CUL would be saved and maybe with enough budget they can re-record her (either with kitamura or a new VP).

that's my outlook!
