Honestly, i will never understand why older vocaloid fans often say that vocaloid is dead. I'm guessing a lot of them only see the fandom side with all the elementary schoolers arguing about Miku bunnysuit and forget about the music, or they're so attached to the old songs that they dismiss anything new as trash. The 2020s so far are the best time to be a vocaloid fan since the 2010s in my opinion. Sure in the 2010's you weren't getting death threats over Rin x Len but you were getting death threats over pirating vocaloid and supporting "controversial" producers.

The 2016 GHOST clone era was a hard time. Unfortunately the Japanese fandom seems to have entered their own edgelord copycat era.

I have no problem with Project Sekai fans themselves, the ones on this site seem chill, forgive me if we made you uncomfortable here. HOWEVER I think this is the one downside of this second golden era. (While like the more toxic side of the PJSK fanbase is wrong about PJSK singlehandedly saving Vocaloid, all the contests def help expand the Vocaloid culture. Some Japanese Ps blew up due to PJSK iirc.)

I lurk the /jp/ threads sometimes since 39ch is not as fast and news are announced there first. I always see a guy (or maybe its multiple people) posting around 12 recent songs for their favorite loid.

The 2010's had some good english producers like matt9five/CircusP and Momocashew who is now the vocalist of Mili and also a mother which makes me feel old.

Do the people over at NND still make parody songs like picrel and all those Len shota songs? I used to see so many of these back in the original golden era but nowadays its like the only thing the fandom's missing.
