Welcome /jp/ (and other 4chan refugees).
What the fuck is a 39chan?39chan (a.k.a Mikuchan) is a Vocaloid themed web forum or imageboard created in September 2024. It is currently maintained by some guy who goes by "moth". As you can probably tell it was created to discuss Vocaloid, its culture, and its community. As such, OC (original content) is heavily encouraged and celebrated here. Read the rules before posting.
The main board for all things Vocaloid is
>>>/leek/. For off-topic content go to
>>>/g/.
Post throttled by filter? What does this mean? This is a bug we've had ever since 39chan moved from being self-hosted to being hosted on a VPS in December last year. It doesn't mean you're banned, it's the message that shows up when you're posting too quickly. We haven't found a way to change it to be less vague. There's an amount of time you have to wait before making another post and this is there to prevent spam.

I just realized i probably posted on what might be the last Vocaloid thread on 4chan

No.229
>>228For one thing the thread culture went to shit in 2024, but also 4chan got hacked and it’s dead until further notice. So no /jp/.
No.230
>>228We didn't have plans of launching the site on 9/11 anyway.
(Though that would have been funny, not for the 2001 thing but for the fact that 39chan would've been launched on Toriko day). It was going to be up the moment it was fully set up, and that just so happened to be on 9/19.
Our site also died on November 30 after the old owner quit. It technically would still be dead right now if not for the fact that the remaining staff members and Figamin saw potential in it.

Quick note for 4chan refs. While this site is mainly a Vocaloid forum you can post non-vocaloid shit on
>>>/g/. Just make sure it doesn't break the rules, I'd like to keep my hammer clean and without blood stains.

Welcome to all newfriends from /jp/ and other sites. I hope you aren't put off by 39ch's culture of worshipping random ass engloids and community-made utaus.

I really like the frontpage UI.

4chan newfag here. Can somebody explain what's up with Sena and that jirai kei girl the drawfags here seem to love?
No.249
>>248>Can somebody explain what's up with SenaOne of the first threads that were made on /leek/ (
>>>/leek/15) was a thread where anons collaborated to make an UTAU. The voicebank was finished in February with the final result being Tsukuyomi Sena, who you can download from the community page. After that she sort of became an unofficial mascot for 39chan since she was created by anons for anons.
>that jirai kei girl the drawfags here seem to loveHer name is TORIKO and she's an april fools joke voicebank (similar to what the vippers did with Kasane Teto), once again made by /leek/ to troll people into thinking they were getting a big titty schizo as the next SynthV during a time in which a lot of new voicebanks were being announced for vocalsynths. A group of anons sort of coordinated half of the thing privately while another group worked on the design and other stuff via the thread itself. A couple people were tricked but since it was done via Bluesky and not Twitter she wasn't super popular.
Her voicebank still isn't finished.
No.250
>>249also welcome to 39ch
No.252
>>249nah they did do it on twitter too but it just didn't get much traction. ironically the bluesky post had more likes/rts iirc
No.253
>>252It got traction on Bluesky because the account that posted it is a legit Vocaloid news account lol
No.255
>>246The main thing that kept the /jp/ thread good was that it was the same ~40 posters inhabiting the thread for years and that nobody had a name. With no attention from moderation, that was the only defense against shitposters. I appreciate the direction here. It's a better posting environment for artists I think.
No.256
>>255That's all imageboard generals but yeah /jp/ had the most active Vocaloid one. Wapchan and 8chan have Vocaloid generals too if you're interested but they're pretty slow compared to 39chan.
No.260
happy to be here!! i love vocaloid i'm happy this chan exists and there are places to be that aren't shitty like /jp/

No.271
I'm surprised a lot of jaypees have seem to adapted considering how circlejerky we tend to be
No.272
>>271I think the atmosphere here is what a lot of us wanted out of /jp/ Vocaloid anyway. I know I wasn't one for all the bitching about Twitter and pointless voicebank warring.
No.273
>>272It's sad how /jp/ has fallen over the years, the hack was the final nail in the coffin. Hope everyone else has been able to find a home.
No.275
Honestly feels good to be here and not see the teto spammer or people posting Twatter screenshots. Even the fandom discussion thread isn't nearly as annoying as /jp/ before 4chan died.

No.285
does this site use the same frontpage as wapchan?
No.286
>>285It was originally made by me for 39chan but i let figamin borrow it and modify it for Wapchan and i think it fits that retro vibe they're going for. I'll eventually make a new frontpage for both sites.
Also no I'm neither figamin nor a mod for Wapchan.
No.300
Funny that this site had a "Don't visit if you're from /jp/" mindset to "You can come if you're from /jp/"
No.301
>>300We never had anything against /jp/ itself and the site itself was created by anons from there. It's nu-/jp/ that we hate. There's a reason why the /jp/ users adapted easily to this site, the generals were filled with children posting twitter playground fights and shitting up the thread by complaining about wholoid this and wholoid that. You go to those threads to talk about Vocaloid, posts news and songs. And we have that here.
No.302
>>300I don’t remember anyone having issues with /jp/ as a whole and only remember them having issues with dramafagging which plagued the threads there from what I’ve heard

No.303
>>302No one here has anything against jaypee or its users, just the spammers/dramafags from the generals

I tried to post on /jp/ but i keep getting connection errors and other stuff
