>>753To be fair i never expected this place to get the attention it's been getting recently or that 4chan would be taken down and people would move here. A lot of the daily 39chan users pre-hack were people who came from the old forum which predated 39chan (hence why a lot of the threads here feel like forumposts). So 39chan has always been this site that's just been there existing alongside the /jp/ general.
So yeah, i never took /jp/ refugees into account when working on this site. It's nice to have new people here, but yeah things are pretty disorganized in comparison. I'm not sure what to do about that. If you have any suggestions i'd be open to hearing them, I'll do what i can to improve this site.

>>754I’ve been browsing /all/ and it has that feeling to me. Recent stuff, project diva stuff, random bursts of hornyposting.
No.761
>>758>>759I understand. I'm just saying that this site wasn't created as a replacement of /jp/'s VOCALOID general but rather its own thing and it should be viewed as such. Since that's how a lot of the refugees seem to view it despite the fact that it predates the 4chan hack by
like 7 months. That's not to say they're not welcome, anyone who can respect/adapt to the site's culture is allowed here.

I don't mind generals on /leek/ but i do wonder how it will affect the other threads hm

>>781Xitter is only good for getting the weekly vocalsynth news and cute art. I have half of vocatwt blocked.
No.783
>>781It’s the same with other normalfag media sites. Very few actually respect vocaloid or miku. They just want to ride hype/hate trains.
No.787
>>781I go out of my way to not use Vocatwt, I haven't had a Twitter in years and I find myself completely unaware of a lot of the smaller dramas as a result. I don't think I've seen small producer drama since 2022, outside of rare and isolated incidents. Anything that spreads to YouTube or imageboards I tend to see, though.
No.788
>>787I don’t know how you used it in the first place, it’s been awful as long as I can remember. Youtube comments were better which is pretty dire.

No.791
>>788I don't either. To make matters worse, when I did use it, people really disliked me. I don't blame them, I was an asshole.
>>789That's why I joined it in the first place, but 3 years of silence has also been pretty awesome. It's always a trip when people mention something a producer did off platform, though.
No.792
>>791I don't care for most drama on the Western side of the fandom because it's always the same people trying to start a fire out of nothing. 90% of the times they're just virtue signaling over pixels and no one's really being hurt like when SatapanP got called out over a meme loli song he made when he himself was around 15. Korean/Japanese fandom drama on the other hand is pretty crazy though, especially when it involves direct contributors such as voice providers.
No.793
>>792For sure. I used to be somewhat fluent in Japanese and used to follow a lot of the VPs and producers and the Masa drama still pops up into my head sometimes. Yeah, the kid shouldn't have posted Masa's work to Spotify but having a meltdown and doxing a 15 year old is insane. I can name only a handful of Western incidents that were worse than this.
My fights in the Western fandom had nothing to do with the loli/shota shit, but a lot of it was moral grandstanding about other things. I was a teen when I got into Xitter fights, and now in my 20s it's so stupid I can't believe I thought half of it was a good idea. It's embarrassing.

People need to stop giving this mufeet dumbass attention, it's literally their lifeblood

I don't use many websites besides 39chan, I just hopped on twitter and saw it and got frustrated lol

>>799They're an infamous ragebaiter who loves spewing shit takes and contrarian opinions. Also might be one of the reasons tetofags have such a bad reputation these days.
People on /jp/ kept posting screenshots of this tard's tweets and it would derail every thread. I never want to see this guy again.

actually how are they getting so much attention when they only have around 900 followers…
well, I'll block them now

A VTuber (Weebalu) made a shitty video on Vocaloid drama that was poorly made, then she deleted it and started crying on Twitter. In the same day a Vocaloid server promoting racism, homophobia, etc got discovered (????)
What was in yesterday's water?

No.809
>>807It was a video about "problematic vocaloid producers". I didn't watch it when it was still up but the thumbnail had Kikuo and Ghost in them. Honestly I don't really like most Vocaloid youtubers. Suwawako is fine because at least he knows his shit and tries to inform newgen fans.
(also he is very likely a /jp/)

>>806>In the same day a Vocaloid server promoting racism, homophobia, etc got discoveredEven with racism and homophobia being banned on this site i feel like vocatwt would not survive this fucking place
No.825
>>824To be fair this site is pretty tame. The only thing that separates it from other vocaloid forums is that no one here outside the actual discussions threads (/news/, Project Diva, etc) takes anything seriously. Only an actual retard would find 39chan "offensive".
No.826
>>824In the 0.00001% chance they won't get mad at "retard" or not caring about Vocaloid ages, I think they could probably get along here.
Other than those two things, the biggest problem would likely be an influx of trips. From what I've gathered, they don't really have as much of a negative disposition here, but trips are atypical in chan cultures and the new trips would likely be faced with animosity, which VocaTWT doesn't know how to deal with. Vocablr is less sensitive than modern VocaTWT so we probably have more people from there, realistically.
No.827
>>826Only tripfags i see here are producers and staff and even if they came here i doubt they'd even know how to use them
No.828
>>827Honestly that's how it should be! I like that staff and producers can do it to verify identity. Hell, even if literally who cover artists did it, it'd be fine imo. I know that on other chans it's looked down upon and we may have people from /jp/ however.
No.829
>>828This isn't /jp/
All we care about here is that people don't derail the threads into literal xitter ragebait and arguments about why this loid is an underrated gem and miku sucks, etc. I wanna say that 39ch is where the people who give a shit about Vocaloid as a whole are at.
No.830

>>842It's funny that Zaako gets this rep because it's genuinely normie-tier tame compared to older Yuki songs like Funky Husky Cool Girls and Loli Loli Paradise. I am dead serious when i say that 90% of the newgen fans would not survive in the early 2010's fandom without having a mental breakdown.
