The CeVIO Flower looks extremely badly AI generated. If it's not AI generated I guess Oguchi must've been blindfolded and had no idea what a Flower is when designing

The funny thing is that this design wasn't even meant to be a girl but a genderbent "shota" version of Flower. The team behind Flower liked it so much that they adopted her design for V4 Flower.

Ciflower isn't the same character I don't think, (thank God #NotMyFlower) the Voisona artist page says she's an "official spin-off of the popular rock-focused Gynoid character "flower," instead of just calling her an update, her concept seems to be "what if flower but CeVIO"

I'm gonna be honest and say I didn't even know about the A.I. Voice vbs until Minnemi's video but it's sad that the community has been making actual cool VY1/VY2 human designs themed around their box art for years and they decide to go with literal office workers.

Another failed "concept" like Ciflower, they're generic on purpose so people can create their own interpretations but why give them designs at all at that point? It would've been better to just keep the sword and hairpin.
Making Roro (and Kobushi Kiku, although my favorite VY1 right now is Pepoyo's) canon would've probably boosted VY2's popularity too, at least ZOLA and Galaco seem to be doing much better nowadays

Pepoyo's VY1 becoming canon was never gonna happen. It's way too chibi for something that'd be on an official boxart and i can't think of any canon chibi designs other than maybe Project:if if you can even consider that a chibi in the first place. I would not have been opposed to having Kiku and Roro canonized though.

I also feel the same way about Prima/Primina. I don't mind the Taiwan design, it's actually pretty cute, but not at all what comes to mind when i think of "virtual opera vocalist".

I don't dislike the current AL but the beta had something unique going on with those Elvis-like vocals and this Frankenstein looking design. Robotic songs like dopamine_machine would've been insane to hear with old AL.

TW Big Al has to be the most unfitting design for a voicebank. It's not exactly a bad design but I'd imagine a nerd voice coming out of this guy, not a deep voice.

tw prima is worse in that regard now that i think about it. nothing about this says "opera" and prima's voice is the last thing i'd expect to come out of her mouth.

It's not much of a redesign but i miss the old Luka. I feel like V2 Luka looks more serious, expressionless, it almost reminds me of Sakaki from Azumanga Daioh who also happens to share the same voice provider. The design reflected her serious expressionless voice too. With V4X and SP it feels like they tried to make her happier and more idol-like and both of them also lack what made the original voice and design so interesting.
